Beware of infiltrators, and take knowledge only from those who are clear and manifest in their stance
Here you go: Badr Al-‘Utaybi defends the revolutionary, Saʿd Al-Buraik — in fact, he even praises and commends him...
And he is the one who once said:
“Let them die!”

Translation in English:
May Allah have mercy on Shaykh Saʿd bin ʿAbdullah Al-Buraik,
elevate his status in the highest ranks of Paradise,
grant goodness in his descendants,
and make what afflicted him a means of expiation, purification, and elevation.
He was among those who took knowledge from many scholars.
He read extensively on his own, and was granted ijāzah by a senior scholar.
He studied under our Shaykh Fahd Al-Ḥumayn (may Allah have mercy on him), and he used to thank our Shaykh for helping him refine his speech and master his language.

Translation in English:
Not true.
Rather, he was Salafi in creed, and his loyalty to the rulers was more well-known than needing to be proven.
His patriotic stances alongside the Saudi state are well known.
And whatever mistakes there may have been — all of us are not infallible.
And may Allah pardon us, and him, and all Muslims.
The Death of the Surūri Figure Saʿd Al-Buraik… One of the Most Famous Advocates of Agitation and Revolt
Today, Saʿd Al-Buraik has perished — one of the most prominent media personalities who adopted the Surūri methodology, which stems from the ideology of Sayyid Qutb, and which merges between Ikhwāni activism and a deceptive Salafi appearance, misleading the people for many long years.
Saʿd Al-Buraik was not just a preacher or public speaker — he was one of the symbols of agitation and revolution, and among the fiercest inciters against the Muslim rulers, using decorated language, distortion of sacred texts, and marketing of revolts under the names of “protective zeal,” “passion,” and “sincere advice.”
He was a leader in corrupting the youth, and it has been witnessed and testified that he played a role in events that rocked the Ummah, events that caused the loss of lives, imprisonment of innocents, and the breaking of unity.
Saʿd Al-Buraik did not die upon the Sunnah, nor did he die upon the true Salafi path. Rather, he died while upon a deviated methodology, with no known clear repentance, nor any documented retraction from his falsehood. Instead, he openly exhibited extremism in support of the activists (al-ḥarakiyyīn) and slandered the scholars of the Sunnah — at the forefront of whom is Shaykh Rabīʿ al-Madkhalī (may Allāh preserve him), who exposed the misguidance of the Surūriyyah and was granted success by Allāh in unveiling their deception.
Shaykh Rabīʿ al-Madkhalī (may Allāh preserve him) said:
“The Surūriyyah are more dangerous than the Muslim Brotherhood, because they disguise themselves with Salafiyyah.”
And the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allāh does not take away knowledge by snatching it away from the people, but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars. Then, when no scholar remains, the people will take ignorant individuals as leaders; they will be asked, and they will give fatwas without knowledge, and they will go astray and lead others astray.”
(Agreed upon — narrated in both al-Bukhārī and Muslim)
Yes, a caller to fitnah (trial, turmoil) has perished — and all praise is due to Allāh for the death of every person who was a reason behind the division of the Ummah, the incitement of the masses, and the distortion of the Salafi methodology.
And we ask Allāh for steadfastness upon the Sunnah, safety from the trials of fake preachers, and that He makes the people of truth manifest and destroys the callers to desires.
