Can Science Replace God? The Myth of Scientism EXPOSED

They tell you:
“We don’t need God anymore — we have science.”
“Religion explained thunder; science explains it better.”
“One day, science will answer everything.”
But let’s step back and ask:
What is science?
Science is the study of how the universe works.
It observes. It measures. It predicts. It tests.
But science does not — and cannot — answer:
Why does the universe exist at all?
Why are there laws of nature in the first place?
Why is there something rather than nothing?
What is the purpose of life?
What happens after death?
Science explains the mechanism.
But it cannot explain the meaning.
It tells you how the rain falls —
But not who sends it with mercy.
It tells you how the baby forms —
But not why life stirs in the womb.
It tells you how your heart beats —
But not what your heart was made for.
Albert Einstein — not a religious man — once said:
“Science without religion is lame.”
Even atheist physicist Paul Davies admitted:
“Science can’t explain why the laws of physics exist… or why they’re so perfectly tuned for life.”
This is where scientism — the belief that science alone can explain all truths — falls flat on its face.
Because:
Science can’t tell you what is right or wrong.
Science can’t prove love, beauty, or justice.
Science can’t tell you why you cry at death — even though your brain “knows” it’s just atoms.
Science can’t tell you why you even care about truth in the first place.
But Islam can.
Islam gives you both:
— A brain that explores the creation
— And a soul that connects to the Creator
“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth… are signs for people of understanding.”
— Qur’an 3:190
“Say: Do you see what you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth.”
— Qur’an 46:4
Islam never idolizes it.
Because the microscope can’t replace the message,
And the telescope can’t replace the truth.
So no — science hasn’t replaced God.
It’s only uncovering the signs of His power.
The more you study creation…
The louder the creation whispers: “This was not an accident.”
