Shaykh al-‘Allāmah Muḥammad Amān al-Jāmī — may Allah have mercy on him — said:
"You, O youth, with regards to political matters, must understand that grasping political issues is more difficult than understanding jurisprudential rulings and matters of Tawḥīd (monotheism). Just as you need someone to explain rulings to you, to teach you the issues of Tawḥīd, the doubts raised by the theologians, and the atheism of the atheists — likewise, you need someone to explain to you the wise Islamic politics. Politics is not this noisy clamor. Politics, as I said, is sound management and wisdom. Not everyone is good at drawing correct and sound conclusions from what they hear and read in the news, in order to arrive at sound political opinions."
