The meaning of the statement of Allah, the Most High: {And remain steadfast as you have been commanded}

Shaykh Ibn Baz said "It means: a call (to Allah) that is accompanied by steadfastness—so that the person becomes a caller to Allah through both his actions and his words.

For indeed, the one who calls to Allah must call through the verses of the Qur’an and the aḥādīth, and he must also call to Allah through his own conduct—by his own uprightness upon the truth—so that people see that his actions match his words.

Thus, the command: “So call and remain steadfast.”

And in another verse: “So remain steadfast as you have been commanded—along with those who have turned in repentance with you—and do not transgress.” [Sūrah Hūd, 112]"
