The Path to Understanding Tawhid in Belief, Conduct, and Practice
Question to Shaykh Ibn Baaz:
The questioner says: Jazākumullāhu khayran for your comprehensive lecture. May Allah place it in the scale of your good deeds. My question is: What is the way to truly understand the reality of Tawḥīd — in belief, behavior, and action?
Shaykh Ibn Baaz Answer:
The path, by the praise of Allah, is made easy. A believer must take account of himself, hold himself to the truth, and be influenced by those who implement the texts (of revelation) upon themselves. In this way, he remains upright upon the Tawḥīd of Allah and sincere to Him, committing to act accordingly and calling others to it — until he becomes firm upon it and it becomes second nature to him. After that, those who try to obstruct him or confuse him will not harm him.
What is essential is that he pays close attention to this matter and holds himself accountable, that he understands it well so that issues do not become confusing to him and so that doubts do not find a way into his heart.
