Three Signs of a Happy Life — From the Words of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
“Three things bring about happiness: A wife who, when you look at her, pleases you and when you are absent, you trust her, and your wealth with her; A good riding beast that enables you to reach your companions; A spacious home that has much by way of facilities.”
Sahīḥah, 1047
The Prophet ﷺ described three blessings that fill the heart with joy and the home with peace — yet how many of us truly reflect on them?
1. A Righteous Wife
Not just beautiful in appearance — but beautiful in heart.
When you look at her, your eyes find comfort.
When you leave, you trust her fully — with your honor, your home, your wealth.
She brings you closer to Allah, not further from Him.
2. A Reliable Means of Travel
In today’s world, it may be your car — not just a luxury, but a means to connect with your loved ones, fulfill your duties, and serve your Deen.
A vehicle that makes your journey easier is a niʿmah from Allah.
3. A Spacious Home with Comforts
Not just walls and a roof — but a place of tranquility, dignity, and worship.
A home where you remember Allah, where your children feel safe, and your guests feel welcome.
These are not just material comforts — they’re means to get closer to Allāh, to build a righteous life, and to live with gratitude.
Happiness in Islām isn’t found in wealth alone. It’s found in trust, companionship, and a home built upon the remembrance of Allāh.
Let us ask Allāh for these blessings — and more importantly, to make us deserving of them.
