What Does It Mean When a Scholar Says About a Hadith: “There Is No Harm in It”?
"The meaning of the Shaykh's statement regarding a ḥadīth: 'There is no harm in it'
It means that the ḥadīth is either ḥasan (good) or ṣaḥīḥ (authentic) — that is the intended meaning.
The terms ḥasan and ṣaḥīḥ are sometimes described with phrases like: 'There is no harm in it,' 'It is good,' or 'It is strong.' All of these are similar expressions in meaning."
