Why Do Atheists Borrow Morality from Religion?

Why Do Atheists Borrow Morality from Religion?

Dear Atheist Friend,

You deny God.

You reject Revelation.

You mock religion.

Yet when it comes to right and wrong —

You speak of justice,

You cry out for human rights,

You condemn rape, racism, oppression, and murder…

But why?

If you truly believe the universe is random…

If we are just cosmic accidents,

Blindly evolved from apes,

Living on a rock spinning in space without purpose…

Then who decides what’s moral?

Where does truth come from?

In a godless world:

— Rape is just rearranged atoms.

— Murder is just evolution eliminating the weak.

— Kindness is just chemicals in your brain.

— Genocide? Just natural selection, right?

If there’s no God,

then morality is just opinion.

No different than liking vanilla over chocolate.

Hitler had his opinion.

So did the Pharaoh.

So did the slave traders.

So does every tyrant today.

Without a higher Law,

there is no final Judge.

Just noise. Just power. Just survival.

But the Qur’ān gives morality a foundation:

“Indeed, Allah commands justice and good conduct…”
— Sūrah an-Naḥl 16:90

It gives us purpose, accountability, and a Day of Judgment.

That’s why atheists must borrow from religion.

Because atheism cannot build morality — it can only steal it.

So dear reader…

If your heart knows that killing is evil,

that rape is horrific,

that oppression is unjust —

then your soul is already testifying:

There is a Creator.

There is a Law.

There is Truth.

Return to it before it's too late.
