Why Islam Doesn’t Bow to Popular Opinion
Liberalism changes its values every decade.
One day, same-sex marriage is unthinkable.
The next, it’s celebrated.
Then comes gender confusion, pronouns, and even debates over “what is a woman?”
This is the reality of a system without anchors —
A system where popular opinion becomes the judge of truth.
But Islam doesn’t bend to trending hashtags.
It doesn’t follow the majority.
It doesn’t evolve to please the crowd.
Because truth isn’t defined by votes.
It’s revealed by Allah.
Allah said:
“If you were to obey most of those on earth, they would mislead you from the path of Allah.”
— Surah al-An‘ām, 6:116
Islam is not a democracy of desires.
It is the Divine Guidance for every time, place, and people.
So while liberalism declares:
“Truth is subjective.”
“Your truth, my truth, their truth.”
Islam declares:
“And what is after truth except falsehood?”
— Surah Yunus, 10:32
The truth doesn’t change when society changes.
Morality doesn’t shift with media.
The ḥarām remains ḥarām, no matter how many people clap for it.
Islam has been stable for 1400+ years —
— without needing revision
— without bowing to man-made ideologies
— because it is from the One who never changes.
If the whole world disagrees with the Qur’an — the Qur’an is still right.
Let liberalism follow feelings.
Let Muslims follow revelation.
Because salvation doesn’t come from popularity…
It comes from obedience to Allah.
