Don’t Be Fooled by Numbers: Truth is Not in the Majority

The truth is not decided by popularity. Never was. Never will be.

Ibrāhīm عليه السلام stood alone against an entire nation of idol worshippers.

Nūḥ عليه السلام preached for 950 years — and only a few believed.

The Prophet ﷺ told:

"There will come Prophet with not a single follower."

(Reported by al-Bukhārī and Muslim)

So never measure truth by crowds, trends, or likes.

Many today follow speakers who entertain, not scholars who guide.

They follow sects with flashy events, not scholars grounded in Qur'an and Sunnah.

They cheer leaders who give fatwas for desires, not rulings based on daleel.

But Allah ﷻ says:

"And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah."

(Sūrah al-Anʿām, 6:116)

Truth is found with evidence, not emotion.

Truth is with the Salaf, not the slogans.

Truth is in following the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions, even if the whole world turns away.

Ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه said:

"The Jamāʿah is what agrees with the truth — even if you are alone."

So beware of being dazzled by numbers. The saved sect was never promised to be the majority. It was promised to be upon the truth.

Follow the path of the Sahābah.

Cling to the Salaf.

Don’t trade truth for trends.
