AI Refund & Return Request Automation System is a production-ready, full-stack application that automates customer return and refund request processing using Anthropic's Claude AI. The system analyzes each request against your configurable policies, makes instant approval or rejection decisions with confidence scoring, and generates professional customer responses—eliminating manual review for routine cases.
Built with a Flask REST API backend and React frontend, the application provides a complete dashboard with real-time analytics, request filtering and search, detailed audit trails, and responsive design. The AI processor evaluates requests based on purchase date, return reason, product condition, and policy rules including standard returns within 30 days, defective product handling regardless of timeframe, change of mind within 14 days, wrong item shipped, and damaged-in-shipping claims. Each decision includes AI reasoning, confidence score from 0.0 to 1.0, and an automatically generated customer response message explaining the outcome.
