Was the Prophet ﷺ Ever a Party Leader?
In today’s world, many Islamic groups say:
“Join our party, support our movement, vote for our leader — this is how we’ll bring change!”
But let’s ask a simple question:
Was the Prophet ﷺ ever a party leader?
Did he form a political bloc?
Did he chase popular support?
Did he compromise the truth to unite people under a party name?
Never.
The Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ came with revelation — not registration.
He built men of tawḥīd — not members of movements.
He taught the people to submit to Allah, not to strategize for elections.
Every group that is formed without the Book and Sunnah as its foundation will only increase division.
The Ikhwān turned da‘wah into party politics — chasing numbers, elections, and coalitions, even if it meant sitting beside Sūfīs, Shīʿah, or secularists.
But real da‘wah isn’t about forming parties — it’s about following the Prophet ﷺ.
Salafiyyah calls to the truth without factionalism.
It unites upon Qur’an and Sunnah — not logos and slogans.
It follows the manhaj of one Ummah, one way, no parties.
So we ask again:
Was the Prophet ﷺ ever a party leader?
Then why are you following those who are?
