How Ikhwan Excuse Innovation for Political Unity
“Let’s unite first — we’ll deal with the differences later.”
That’s the famous Ikhwānī slogan.
But what do they mean by “differences”?
— Tawḥīd vs shirk.
— Sunnah vs bidʿah.
— Salafī ʿaqīdah vs Ashʿarī, Māturīdī, and even Shīʿī creeds.
All swept under the rug for the sake of “political unity.”
They will sit with Ṣūfīs, back innovators, and promote deviants —
All to “build the Islamic state.”
But the Prophet (peace be upon him) never compromised the truth for unity.
He called to pure tawḥīd — even if it divided him from his own tribe.
He rejected alliances with the Quraysh when it meant diluting the message.
He did not say: “Let’s delay these issues — unity comes first.”
Unity is only praiseworthy when it is based on the truth.
Unity at the expense of the Sunnah is not true unity.
It’s betrayal of the way of the Prophet and his Companions.
The Salaf said:
Truth first — unity follows.
The Ikhwān say:
Unity first — truth can wait.
But delaying the truth only leads the ummah deeper into misguidance.
Don’t fall for their trap.
Unite upon the truth — not around falsehood.
