Liberalism’s Betrayal of the Family Structure

Liberalism promised “liberation”…

But it delivered isolation.

It promised “empowerment”…

But it produced broken homes and fatherless children.

Once upon a time, the family was sacred.

— Mothers were honored.

— Fathers were respected.

— Children were protected.

— Marriage was cherished.

— Roles were clear.

Then came liberalism...

— “You don’t need a husband.”

— “You don’t owe your parents anything.”

— “Gender roles are oppression.”

— “Marriage is a trap.”

— “Do whatever makes you happy.”

And what did it leave behind?

— Skyrocketing divorce rates.

— Single-parent homes.

— Youth addicted to porn.

— Children raised by screens.

— Grandparents abandoned in care homes.

— A generation that doesn’t know what a stable family even looks like.

Harvard sociologist Carle Zimmerman, in Family and Civilization, documented the collapse of past civilizations — and how it began with the destruction of the family unit.

Sound familiar?

A society that redefines family,

Redefines morality.

And once you redefine morality —

Truth dies.

But Islam came to repair what liberalism destroys:

Marriage is worship.

Family is a fortress.

Roles are not chains — they are divine responsibilities.

Mothers are not “housewives” — they are the makers of nations.

Fathers are not “toxic” — they are the shepherds of their flocks.

The Prophet Muḥammad (peace be upon him) said:

“Every one of you is a shepherd, and every one of you is responsible for his flock…”

Liberalism shattered the home.

Islam builds it — brick by brick, heart by heart.

If you truly care about society…

Start by restoring the family.

And to restore the family —

You must return to Islam.
