What Is To Be Done With A Miscarried Fetus (As-Siqṭ)?

Shaykh Ibn al-ʿUthaymīn (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“If the fetus dies before four months, then it is not considered a human being; rather, it is just a piece of flesh. It may be buried anywhere, and it is neither washed, nor shrouded, nor prayed over, nor will it be resurrected on the Day of Judgment.
But if it is after four months, then the soul has been breathed into it and it has become a human. So if it is miscarried, it should be washed, shrouded, prayed over, given a name, and ʿAqīqah should be performed for it.”

Majmūʿ Fatāwā Ibn ʿUthaymīn, vol. 25, p. 225
